Welcome to IRphotonics’ new blog.

As the first entry to our new blog, I would like to congratulate the whole team at IRphotonics as we have won the Prism Award for Best Photonic Innovation last week at Photonics West.

The Prism Awards for Photonics Innovation is an international competition for companies that recognize photonics products that break conventional ideas, solve problems, improve life with photonics - and make money! This is a huge recognition for IRphotonics.

The winners were selected from more than 135 products and applications by a panel of international judges and announced on January 27 at the gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square as part of Photonics West 2010.

We shared the limelight with 9 other companies for a total of 10 categories. Winners included Agilent Technologies, Lehighton Electronics, Inc., ImagingInfraTec, LasersLaser Operations LLC, LightLab Imaging Inc, Swamp Optics, Hamamatsu Corporation, Linden Photonics, National Semiconductor and of course IRphotonics.
