IRphotonics is dedicated to the development and marketing of technologically sophisticated infra red optical materials and derivatives for precision use in industrial, medical, telecommunications, military and aerospace applications. Through its strategic alliance with the Institut National d’Optique (INO), in Québec City, Canada, IRphotonics has become a leading edge infra red and fiber optics manufacturer. Our fiber optics and infra red business consists of two segments: (i) infra red fibers and fibre optic delivery guides, (ii) infra red lenses and other optical components, for use in infrared spectroscopy and thermal imaging.
Spectroscopy Grade Mid & Medical Grade Infrared Fluoride fiber
Based on years of infrared, fiber optics and fiber optic manufacturing R&D in France and Quebec City, IRphotonics has developed an enhanced ZBLAN Fluoride fiber manufacturing process that will allow the production of infra red glass, Mid Infrared optical fiber and fluoride glass based optical devices with exceptional properties in the 2000-5500 nm optical window. In the medical community, this fiberoptics and fiber optic manufacturing breakthrough opens the door to new laser assisted procedures that exploit Er:Yag laser (erbium laser) technology.
New Fibreoptics Materials & Novel Optical Properties
Because of the novel optical properties of our fiber optics materials, thermal imaging designers now have a new breed of infra red and fiberoptics materials tranparent from the UV to 6,500 nm to choose from for certain programs.
Major Manufacturing Fiber Optics Partnership
Our partnership with INO gives us access to their existing world-class R&D infrastructure and expertise on infra red and fiber optic manufacturing. The focus of our partnership will be the development of high performance trunk optical fiber and light guides for erbium yag lasers (Er:Yag lasers).
