IRphotonics is specialised in (MIR) Mid Infra Red materials. The company was established to develop, market and manufacture technologically sophisticated optical materials and derivatives with particular focus on mid infra red applications for precision use in industrial, medical laser, spectroscopy, telecommunications, military and aerospace applications. IRphotonics will offer a comprehensive line of products with superior transmission properties at wavelengths ranging from 300 to 5,500 nm using both silica, fluoride, ZBLAN based material technology. Based on years of very specific R&D on MID IR materials that included work on fluoride glass and ZBLAN technology by our CTO Dr. M. Saad and his team in France and in Canada, IRphotonics has developed ground-breaking technology that will allow the production of MIR Infrared glass, singlemode and multimode Fluoride optical fibre, ZBLAN optical fiber and Mid Infra Red optical devices with exceptional optical, mechanical and environmental properties particularly in the 2,000 to 5,500 nm Mid Infra Red spectral range. That spectral range has three wavelengths of particular interest: 2078 nm - Holmium (Ho:YAG), 2780 nm - Cr,Er:YSGG and 2940 nm - Erbium (Er:YAG).
